We built these halogen heating lamps for one reason: PET blowing machines need heat that’s fast, steady, and repeatable. The preform has to soften quickly—and evenly—so the blow molding cycle doesn’t get thrown off. These lamps hit the preform with high-intensity infrared energy, softening it fast. The payoff? Your line keeps moving instead of stuttering.

Technical Deep-Dive

PET blowing doesn’t have room for weak heat. You need serious power packed into a tight space. That’s why our lamps are typically 2500W and 400V. It gives you more power per inch, so the heating zone stays compact and actually fits inside the machine. The 300mm active heating length creates a predictable thermal window, so you can set preform rotation speed and lamp position and just… stick with it. No more chasing hot spots.

Material & Design

The halogen element is sealed inside a quartz tube. That matters because quartz handles the shock of rapid on/off cycling without cracking. And the shortwave infrared output is tuned for polymer absorption, so the heat goes where it’s needed—right into the preform surface—instead of wasting energy heating the machine frame. Plus, the R7s connector is a simple two-contact design. Wiring stays clean, and when it’s time to swap a lamp, it happens fast.

Application & Benefits

On the PET blowing line, consistency is everything. If the lamp holds a steady temperature, you get uniform wall thickness and fewer rejects. The high-wattage, 400V design delivers the intensity needed for fast cycles. But that also means you’ve got to plan for it: expect more ambient heat around the lamp, so ventilation and thermal shielding should be part of the setup. The end result is a heat source that’s tough, easy to install, and keeps delivering repeatable performance—right where the work is happening.
