Introduction
We built the 1020mm, 2000W shortwave halogen infrared heat lamp for one reason: to deliver hard-hitting, focused heat where it actually matters. This isn’t some general-purpose heater. It’s a precision tool, made for engineers who need heat fast—and need it in a compact package that fits their setup. It’s tough enough for the factory floor, and it stays consistent when speed and temperature control can’t be compromised.
The Power, the Size, the Heat
Here’s the thing: 2000W packed into a 1020mm tube means serious heat density. That translates to a ramp-up that’s almost instant. The length and power work together to create a clean, even spread of energy across the target. And the shortwave infrared? It doesn’t just warm the surface—it penetrates fast, heating from the inside out. That’s a big difference compared to other emitters. Just keep in mind: with 2000W, you need a solid electrical setup, and the heat output means you need proper airflow around the fixture to keep everything running long-term.
Built to Take the Heat
We use a halogen-filled quartz envelope because shortwave operation demands extreme temperatures. The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, so it resists burnout and holds steady output over the life of the lamp. The quartz body is coated to focus the infrared energy and shield the inside from dust and contaminants. For installation, it uses a standard R7s connector. That means it’s a straightforward drop-in replacement, so you can get back online fast. The connector handles the high current safely and stays secure, even with vibration on the machine.
Where It Shines: Performance You Can Count On
This setup is ideal for processes that need rapid, localized heating. Think plastic welding, heating PET preforms, or curing coatings—anywhere cycle time is critical. The shortwave output gives you the penetration you need, while the 1020mm size slips neatly into tight machine spaces. You get predictable heat, so you can dial in your parameters and run without second-guessing. We built it to take a beating, but it still needs proper mounting and airflow to prevent overheating and keep service intervals long.
