Shortwave Halogen Infrared Lamps: The Fast-Heat Fix for Engineers
We build these lamps for engineers who don’t have time to wait around for heat. You need it, and you need it fast. Forget general-purpose heaters—these are precision tools, built for one thing: delivering rapid, targeted heat right where your industrial equipment needs it.
Power and size: small package, big punch
The magic is in the shortwave infrared spectrum. It’s high-intensity energy that cuts straight into materials, no messing around. A standard unit hits 2500W at 400V—high voltage, chosen so you get serious power density in a compact form. The tube is just 300mm long. That short footprint isn’t accidental. It lets you pack a ton of heat into a tight spot without needing a bulky housing.
Built to last: the halogen heart and the right coating
Inside, we run a halogen cycle within a quartz envelope. That chemistry keeps the filament clean, so the lamp lasts longer and keeps its output steady. The quartz tube is also coated. That coating filters out the glare of visible light and helps focus the energy into the exact wavelength band that matches what your target material absorbs.
Connectors that won’t let you down
Connections matter. The R7s base is standard here, giving you a solid two-point electrical contact that handles the high current and locks the lamp in place. For machines that vibrate or run nonstop, we spec the Sk15 connector. It’s a tougher, industrial-grade lock that stays put when things get rough.
Where shine meets reality: performance and the cooling trade-off
These lamps shine in jobs like PET blowing, where you have to heat a preform fast and evenly. Shortwave energy gets the job done—quickly. But with that power comes a reality check: you need cooling that’s up to the task. The reflector and cooling circuits in your machine have to be designed to handle the extra ambient heat. When you wire one in, it drops right into existing shortwave systems. The output is predictable, controllable, and focused. That’s the whole point—give you heat where you need it, exactly how you need it, without the fuss.
