We built this 1500W halogen heater lamp to be one thing: a compact powerhouse. It’s for industrial heating where space is tight and time is money. Think of it as the focused heat you need when a machine cavity is cramped and the clock is ticking on the next cycle.
A quick look under the hood
The 1500W rating isn’t random. It hits that sweet spot of heat density—enough punch to get temperatures up fast, without making you rewire the whole line. It runs on standard industrial voltages, so you can drop it into your control panel without hunting down extra step-up transformers. And the size? We shaped the length and tube diameter to slip into standard reflector setups and snug mounting spots, so you can install it without redesigning your machine guarding.
What it’s made of—and why it matters
We chose a quartz envelope because it can take the heat at the filament and won’t crack under rapid on/off cycles. The halogen cycle keeps the filament and inner envelope cleaner, which helps the output stay steady over the lamp’s life. And the R7s base? It’s a straight-forward, two-contact connection. It seats cleanly, swaps out easily, and holds its alignment even when the equipment is vibrating.
Where it shines—and what to keep in mind
This setup is made for spot heating, sealing, and pre-heating—jobs where you need a quick response and predictable temperature behavior. Pair it with the right sensor and controller, and you get fast warm-up plus tight control. One trade-off: that intense heat comes from a hot filament. Make sure there’s enough airflow or heat sinking around it, so nearby components don’t get overwhelmed.
