We built the SK15 Medium Wave Halogen IR Heat Lamp for one place: the shop floor. It’s the kind of heat source that just fits, right where you need it. Here’s the guts of it. We put a 1500W element inside a 650mm quartz tube, tuned for medium-wave infrared. That wavelength doesn’t just warm the surface—it gets right to the core faster than other IR. Halogen, Quartz, and a Base That Stays Put
The halogen tech does a neat trick. It keeps the filament stable by recycling tungsten inside the capsule. That means the output stays consistent over the lamp’s life. No surprises. The quartz envelope is tough enough to handle the shock of rapid on/off cycles. And that medium-wave coating? It’s tuned for industrial heating, hitting the sweet spot for plastics, coatings, and composites. Then there’s the SK15 base. We chose it because you need a connection that’s secure and repeatable, even in tight fixtures. It’s a straightforward, solid mechanical fit that holds alignment, even when vibration and thermal expansion are part of the daily grind. Where It Shines, and the Real-World Trade-offs
Use this lamp when you need intense, focused heat in one spot: plastic pre-heat stations, adhesive curing, paint drying, component testing. The 1500W density means fast heat-up, which is exactly what you want. But here’s the thing—high heat density means you need to plan for it. Your machine’s airflow, reflector setup, and guards have to be up to the task. They need to manage ambient temperature and keep nearby components safe. We built this lamp for uptime.
