Here’s the truth: we built the quartz tungsten halogen heating tube for one simple reason. We wanted a heater that could deliver pure, controllable heat when standard options just don’t cut it. This isn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill heating element. It’s a compact powerhouse, engineered for industrial machines that need heat fast—and need it to stay steady once it’s there.
Getting into the Details
When you’re sizing up a heating tube, you start with the basics: power, voltage, and size. Those three tell you whether it’ll actually fit your machine and get the job done. A typical setup runs on 400V and hits 2500W, packing a lot of heat into a small space. And the length? Around 300mm. That means you can slide it right into tight spots without reworking the whole chamber. That high voltage isn’t just for show. It lets you hit the power you need with lower current, so you don’t need heavy-duty wiring and your control circuits stay simpler. But it also means your control setup and insulation have to be up to the task. And size matters. A shorter tube concentrates heat, which is great. But it also concentrates stress, so you have to plan for that.
What It’s Made Of
We chose quartz for the tube body because it can handle extreme heat and rapid on-off cycles without cracking. Quartz just shrugs off thermal shock, so the tube can go from cold to full blast quickly—without failing on you. Inside, the tungsten filament is paired with a halogen cycle. This keeps the filament stable by putting the evaporated tungsten right back where it belongs—on the hot spot. That helps keep output consistent over time. The halogen fill also lets the filament run hotter than a standard incandescent design, so you get faster heat-up. And we went with an R7s connector for a practical reason: it’s a standard, two-ended ceramic terminal that makes mounting and wiring straightforward. It holds a solid connection and can take the heat without melting nearby parts.
Where It Shines
This tube is built for industrial work that demands serious heating—like PET blowing, plastic pre-heating, and other processes that need fast, focused infrared heat. The quick response cuts cycle time, and the compact size slips into tight spots without a fight. But there’s a trade-off. That high heat density means your machine needs proper cooling and clearance. If you can handle the thermal load, you get predictable performance and an easy installation—just drop it in and go.
