Meet the Clear Medium Wave Halogen Lamp
We built this lamp for one simple reason: to give you a heating element that just works. It’s a straight swap for your existing industrial setup—no hassle, no redesigning the whole fixture. We’re talking a 480mm length, a 230V input, and a steady 1500W output. If your process needs reliable infrared heat that you can control, without wrestling with a bulky heating system, this is your answer.
Power, Voltage, and Size—Straight to the Point
The 1500W rating at 230V gives you predictable heating performance. That predictability makes it easy to size your controls and wiring without second-guessing. The 480mm length is intentional. It gives you enough surface area for even heating, but it’s still compact enough to fit into tight spaces and smaller fixtures. And the medium wave output? It’s a sweet spot. It penetrates faster than far infrared, but it’s less aggressive than shortwave, which can easily overshoot on thinner materials. Current draw is also manageable. At 230V, the lamp pulls around 6.5A, which keeps stress off terminals and contactors. Just keep this in mind: match your supply and control gear to the load. If your line runs closer to 240V, double-check the lamp’s tolerance and adjust settings so you don’t overdrive the filament.
Built to Last: Halogen, Quartz, and Smart Termination
The clear quartz envelope can handle high operating temperatures while staying optically clear—so your radiant output stays consistent. The halogen cycle does its job quietly in the background, keeping the filament stable by returning evaporated tungsten back where it belongs. That means less blackening over time and more consistent output throughout the lamp’s life. For installation, we went with an R7s base—standard, double-ended, and straightforward. It fits right into existing sockets, and the contacts are built to handle repeated insertion and thermal cycling without building up excess resistance. Less resistance means fewer hot spots at the ends.
Where It Shines—And What to Keep in Mind
You’ll find this lamp most at home in plastic heating, drying, and curing setups. It responds fast, and the medium wave profile hits surfaces efficiently. When your process line cycles on and off, the temperature recovers quickly. And yes, it’s designed as a drop-in element. Swap it out and get back to work—no re-engineering needed. One thing to note: packing 1500W into a 480mm tube creates noticeable heat density. Make sure the surrounding equipment can handle the temperature. Give it proper airflow and shield nearby components.
