If you need heat—and you need it now—these 740mm halogen lamps are your best bet. They work on shortwave infrared, which is a fancy way of saying they don’t waste time heating up the air. They just shoot the heat straight into your material. It’s fast. Really fast. Getting the power right Because these tubes are 740mm long, they cover a lot of ground. That’s great for wide parts, but it means you’re dealing with a massive amount of heat. Here’s the thing: you can’t just plug these in and hope for the best. Make sure your wiring and power supply can actually handle the draw. If your voltage dips, your heat drops, and you’re back to square one. Plus, if the terminals overheat, you’re looking at a failure you could have easily avoided. The build (and why it matters) We use high-purity quartz glass for a reason. It keeps the “halogen cycle” moving, which basically just pushes the tungsten back onto the filament so the lamp doesn’t burn out in a heartbeat.
