Getting to the Heart of the Power Profile
We built these quartz halogen heater lamps for one reason: to give industrial spaces the kind of focused, rapid heat that doesn’t quit. That 400V voltage and 2500W power rating? Totally intentional. They’re what let us pack so much heat into such a small 300mm tube. It’s the perfect fit for machines where space is at a premium, but you still need serious thermal output. Running at 400V means you get that high wattage without needing to upsize all your wiring. Just know your control circuitry needs to be ready for that voltage. And that 300mm length? It slips right into standard industrial heater housings, so you can swap it in and get back to work.
What Makes It Tick: The Materials and Design
We chose quartz for the body for a very simple reason: it can handle the shock of rapid on-off cycling without cracking. It stays solid even when the temperatures climb to levels that would shatter normal glass. Inside, the halogen cycle is quietly working its magic. It redeposits material from the filament, which keeps the lamp stable, extends its life, and ensures the output stays consistent. Then there’s the shortwave coating. It focuses the infrared energy into a specific band, so the target material absorbs it more efficiently. And the R7s connector? It’s a double-ended, linear fit that handles the current and locks everything in place. It makes wiring simpler and helps cut down on hotspots at the terminals.
How It Performs When the Machine is Running
Here’s where it all comes together. This lamp shines in processes like PET blowing, where you need heat fast, but you also need to stay in control. It softens the preform quickly without overheating the surrounding parts. The shortwave output just sinks into plastics, giving you a faster heat-up and tighter control over the temperature. But, and there’s always a but, that speed comes with a trade-off. The high heat density means you need proper cooling and a well-designed reflector to keep the ambient temperature around the lamp in check. If your machine is already set up for shortwave halogen heaters, this is a direct replacement. We sized it to deliver a consistent heat profile, so you can keep your cycle times steady and your scrap rates low.
